What it is

The Smart PDU brings contactor control, fusing, and power management into one integrated module that sits alongside the BMS, consolidating the pack's power path into a single engineered unit.

Why it is smart

The Smart PDU can control four circuits over the controller area network (CAN) bus, greatly reducing the resource requirements placed on the vehicle control unit (VCU). This is particularly valuable in multiple-motor systems. The Smart PDU can be integrated into an EVDrive battery pack or supplied as a stand-alone unit.

Where it stands

The Smart PDU platform is developed and ready to customize. Units are made to order, with channel count and output configuration adapted to project specifications.
