EVDRIVE BATTERY PACKS DELIVER
- Highest volumetric energy density— over 305 Wh/l as compared to typical 200-220 Wh/l. This means more capacity (kWh) in a smaller package.
- Highest discharge (C) rate–5 C continuous with adequate cooling system, 12 C peak. This means you don’t need a larger battery just to get the power output you need.
- Highly flexible module design allows a wide range of voltages, dimensions, and capacities.
- Highly efficient heat management. The combination of low-resistance power cells, fire-resistant encapsulation and highly effective integrated liquid cooling system dissipates the heat that high performance generates, preventing thermal runaway and battery damage.
- Proprietary distributed battery management (BMS) and power distribution (PDU) integrated into every pack
WHO NEEDS EVDRIVE BATTERIES?
Ultra-high performance batteries require expensive components, extra materials, additional production steps, and considerable hand work; they are not the best choice for economy conversions or energy storage. But they are unmatched for:
- LIMITED SPACE/ HIGH CAPACITY. For example, high performance vehicles typically have limited spaces for the batteries, but owners want the most kWh possible for both performance and range. EVDrive batteries have the highest volumetric energy density.
- MAXIMUM OUTPUT. For example, a winning Pike’s Peak racer will finish the climb in less than 10 minutes, with massive current draw for uphill and corner acceleration. A 1C battery that would deliver the required power would still have 80% of its capacity at the end of the race, meaning a lot of extra expense and weight. EVDrive batteries have the highest C (discharge) rate, both peak and continuous.
- UNUSUAL VOLTAGE OR DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS. One of the greatest challenges for a performance vehicle is to find the right combination of capacity (kWh), voltage, and dimensions. EVDrive’s six standard modules and highly flexible terminal interconnects give maximum flexibility for precise voltage specificity or unusual space limitations.
EVDRIVE BATTERY PACK COMPONENTS
- EVDrive ultra-high performance Battery Modules
- Power Distribution Unit (PDU) with contactors, pre-charge circuits and fuses within the pack.
- BMS slaves integrated into each module and BMS master integrated into the PDU.
- Optional High-flow integrated liquid cooling system.
